Constant advances in mobility, towards more efficient, sustainable and user-centered model, are pushing forward the concept of what we understand for transport and solving everyday issues through intelligence services and smart devices. This involves changes on all the value chain, but specially on transport centers. These services and devices are making our vessels, planes, cars, trains and even bikes smarter and more connected, building up a network of information that allows its continuous growth. H2020 PortForward project claims to advance towards the port of the future through the standardization of services needed by different international stakeholders and use cases considering first and foremost its replicability, scalability and extensibility. To achieve this, PortForward consortium will outline the different systems, devices and services that build it up with the objective of increasing its capabilities and performance, connecting it with their communities and cities and, finally, improving its environmental efficiency. With these objectives in mind, LEITAT, as the leader of services architecture, with the collaboration of the consortium experts and the different stakeholders involved, have the challenge to design and set the basis to transform the way ports are conceived.
