In this paper an easy to use modulation technique for series-resonant converters is presented including experimental results. This modulation technique allows to change the input-to-output voltage transfer ratio of series-resonant converters over a wide range, only limited by the passive components of the resonant tank. It is shown how the scheme can be applied on a 50 kW fast charger to set up a system with two power stages. By now hardware tests were conducted on a downscaled prototype.
