A stable electricity grid with high wind energy penetration needs to be guaranteed in the future. Therefore, a test bench for the practical validation of a changed control strategy for wind turbines is under development. The test bench control is done on one central real-time capable PC platform. Four DSPs, connected to this PC by EtherCAT, are used to control the inverters and convert the required measured values. The hereby chosen approaches and implemented process sequences for the realisation of this concept will be presented in this paper.
