Auto-generating test paper intelligently is an important problem in electronic education. This paper analyses the constraint conditions of the auto-generating test paper, and establishes the mathematical models. A new intelligent algorithm based on gene expression programming is proposed and used for test paper auto-generating. By introducing appropriate genetic operators and linear fixed length coding, it avoids the premature during iteration. The result of experiments shows that the new algorithm is more efficient compared with other algorithms and can successfully generate test papers that meets the requirements.
