In this paper, an improved advancing front method for restoration design algorithm is proposed.Firstly, the hole model is detected and the boundary is extracted; A new point is inserted by the advancing front method until the entire defect area is covered. Then, the radial basis function is introduced to establish the implicit equation of the hole surface and adjust the insertion point, and complete the repair of the facial the skull defect. Finally, through the rule of the certain number of patient statistics, the void boundary of orbital and nostril organs is identified,and the triangle mesh is deleted to get the facial skull restoration model.The experimental results show that the algorithm is used to repair the Triangular mesh with good quality and maintain the characteristics of the original mesh model and fuse with the original mesh to ensure the quality of the skull restoration.
