In this paper, a low budget calorimetric chamber for the measurement of power losses and the determination of efficiency in the range of Ploss = 2 - 100 W is proposed. The overall working principle has been based on the work of [1], taking this design from a 25 mW-level to a 4000-fold measuring range. The expected measurement error of this system is in the range of ±0.7% ≤ etotal ≤ ±1.8% depending on the power loss of the underlying device under test.
