The use of energy flexibilities in the control of energy systems is increasingly in focus. This also applies to private energy systems, which can have a large number of different components (combined heat and power plant (CHP), photovoltaic plant (PV), wind power plant (WG), solar thermal system (ST)). A possible approach for the use of these flexibilities can be formulated by means of an MPC-based energy management system (EMS). The energy flexibility released in this way can, among other things, reduce fluctuations in the electricity grid through demand and feed-in management of the private energy systems. This offers advantages for the grid operator in intra-day trading, for example. However, the economic and energetic interests of the private operators must be protected when using the flexibilities.
