Tactical data link time-delay performance reliability is very important for modern warfare. Most research on time-delay of tactical data link is always focusing on how to reduce time-delay, however, army users care more about the reliability of time-delay performance than with the specific value of time-delay because time-delay performance reliability is closely related to the success of combat. And little research has been carried out on the time-delay performance reliability according to our literature research. To address this problem, a model is proposed to evaluate the time-delay performance reliability of tactical data link. Firstly, a tactical data link time-delay performance reliability model composed of four main contents is built. Secondly, a typical tactical data link, Link-16, is selected, and the time-delay model for the Link-16 is established. Then, the Link-16 time-delay performance reliability is defined in conjunction with the usage requirements of Link-16. Finally, the performance reliability evaluation of Link-16 is analyzed through simulation, and the validity of this model is verified by comparing with previous research results.
