Yi lacquerware painting technique has high innovative design research value and application prospect for ethnic minority cultural inheritance and crafts development, and the innovative design of Yi traditional patterns is one of the important means to inherit and innovate Yi lacquerware. Through the mirror design of Yi traditional patterns, this paper creates new patterns with Yi characteristics, and explores a new way to innovative design of Yi traditional lacquer painting patterns. Firstly, the basic patterns of Yi lacquerware are extracted, the evolution of lacquerware patterns is completed by using the CC Kaleida effector of Adobe After effects software, and then the design effect is enriched by the parameter adjustment and material setting of CC Kaleida effector. Thus, different software could be used to produce patterns and apply them to lacquer pattern decoration design by combining the traditional pattern design with film and television animation software.
