The grey correlation analysis model is used to analyze the grey correlation between tourism and transportation in Guangdong Province. The results show that there is a large correlation between the number of tourists in Guangdong Province and the length of their respective transportation routes under the mode of transportation, indicating that the transportation industry in Guangdong Province has an important impact on the development of tourism. The grey correlation between the number of inbound tourists and the transportation industry is ranked from high to low as follows: Civil Aviation route mileage, highway traffic mileage, railway business mileage, inland river navigation mileage and the number of civil vehicles. Air transportation has the greatest impact on inbound tourism. The grey correlation value between the number of domestic tourists and the transportation industry is ranked from high to low as follows: the number of civil vehicles, railway business mileage, civil aviation route mileage, highway traffic mileage and inland river navigation mileage. The number of civil vehicles in highway transportation has a prominent impact on domestic tourism. In order to realize the high-quality development of tourism in Guangdong Province, we must constantly improve the civil aviation transportation capacity, further improve the road conditions of expressways and ordinary highways, strengthen the construction of railways, especially high-speed railways, and provide faster transportation services for tourists at home and abroad.
