In order to study the influence of the type and thickness of the material used in the tractor engine hood on sound insulation index, and then provide support for the design and production of the tractor engine hood. We first obtain the structural modal of the tractor engine hood. Then the acoustic-vibration coupling calculation method based on structural modes is used to obtain the sound insulation index of components with different materials and thicknesses. Summarize the effects that different material types and thicknesses on the sound insulation performance of the tractor hood. At the same time, it is found that the structural modal has great influence on the sound insulation performance of the hood at low frequency.
