According to the shutter filter, before the drain valve was opened, the heavier sludge was easy to return to the filter layer, and the influent water passed through the shutter to form an impact on the water inlet end. In order to solve the above problems, a new type of air-water backwash shutter filter with surface sweep washing was developed to achieve continuous water inflow and form push-flow drainage. During the backwashing process, water could be continuously fed to form a push-flow drainage function, which would help to let the suspended impurities at the end drain out of the pool with the water flow. The pilot test revealed the turbidity removal rule of the double-layer filter material along the way. The backwashing process and method were proposed to achieve greater backwashing intensity to restore the pollution capacity of the upper layer of anthracite.
