The output characteristic of tactile sensor and the resolution of tactile information have always been the focus of researchers. In this paper, the system of texture tactile sensor has been set up, and the output characteristics model of tactile sensor has been developed. An output voltage is analyzed under the conditions of bias magnetic field, the normal force, the groove width and the ridge width of the sample. The experimental results have been performed to determine the relation among the output voltage, bias magnetic field and the normal force. The calculated and experimental results prove the groove width and the ridge width of surface texture has a large effect on the output characteristic of texture tactile sensor. To order to improve the ability of tactile sensor to detect the tactile information, the output peak voltage of the testing sample is extracted. The test sample range of texture tactile sensor will be limited.
