The system consists of a pendulum, a laser hanging at the end of the pendulum and a camera system. The length of the pendulum simulates the height, and the image data of the laser movement acquired by the camera is collected and processed by the terminal processor, and the pendulum length and movement angle are quickly calculated within 20S. The camera node and the terminal processor both use NVIDIA jetson nano artificial intelligence board, the camera node uses global shutter high-speed camera and HDMI high-definition display, using CAM shift target tracking algorithm to achieve tracking processing of the laser, and combining time domain calculation and frequency domain calculation, through sliding mean filter, median filter and fast Fourier transform, to accurately measure the laser motion period and motion angle, Finally, calculating the pendulum length by substituting the motion period into the pendulum length formula. The system has the advantages of high accuracy and fast tracking, and the measured height and angle can be obtained only by the local motion of the laser.
