Aiming at the problems of incomplete information extraction and insufficient depth in the process of extracting the assembly feature information of aircraft and other assembly parts, a method of extracting the assembly feature information of complex products was proposed. The method takes CATIA software as the platform and adopted the secondary development of fast feature information extraction function. Combined with the binary tree pre-sequence traversal algorithm, depth first and layer by layer, the assembly information of multi-layer nested complex assembly can be extracted completely, and the feature information of complex product assembly can be fully utilized to more effectively support assembly process planning. In this paper, the feasibility of this method is verified by taking a conveyor of a certain civil aviation aircraft wing as an example.
