Inhalt:
This paper describes and compares three conventional and one novel implementation style of model predictive controllers (MPCs) for torque controlled induction machines. The styles are based on the field-oriented and direct torque control principle, respectively. The MPCs are implemented with a finite control set (FCS). The control qualities of the introduced FCS-MPCs are algebraically analyzed, verified by simulation and compared with each other. An overview of the computational demand, as well as guidelines for tuning and an appropriate controller choice is provided.
