This paper introduces a digital-centric DCDC converter featuring minimal digital and analog circuit complexity (no computing machine neither ADC for example). The converter is both simple to design and implement across different IC technology nodes and ensures high efficiency by applying the most suitable conversion mode over a wide range of loads. After introducing these conversion modes and deducing the required system metrics, this paper proposes a suitable analog circuit and exposes the digital control machine. Simulation and prototyping results will also be presented.
