              This paper focuses on the classification of the driving behaviour of electric buses using an inertial measurement unit (IMU) to reduce the carbon footprint in public transport. The aim is to use measurement data from the IMU installed in an electric bus to assess and improve driving style and efficiency. The data analysis is intended to reveal on which routes and with which driving style electric buses can ideally complement conventionally powered vehicles. It will be shown how driving style can be classified in terms of energy efficiency by visual evaluation of driving data dashboards.
