Inhalt:
Different driver topologies for a battery modular multilevel management converter and kindred reconfigurable battery systems with series, parallel and bypass function are compared within the scope of this paper. Three driver topologies (Low-Side Driver, Half-Bridge Driver and Isolated Driver) are investigated via LTspice simulations in order to compare possible approaches for driver circuits and to evaluate the overall efficiency. Furthermore, measurements of hardware versions are discussed to gain an insight into the distribution of power dissipation across the hardware components and their efficiency in different operation modes. The simulations and the measurements focus on the steady state properties of the circuits; transient processes are not considered.
