The underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) have been widely used in many applications and scenarios where a number of sensor nodes (on the water surface or beneath) collaborate to complete their tasks. Compared to terrestrial wireless sensor networks (TWSNs), UWSNs network topologies are more dynamic and unpredictable due to the complicated underwater environment. This paper proposed a network topology evaluation method on false tolerance from the trust perspective, i.e., network trustworthiness evaluation. To adapt the dynamic property of UWSNs and inspired by the Monte Carlo simulation, we use the random sampling inputs in the evaluation framework. It disables the nodes in the UWSNs randomly to simulate nodes failure and unstable connection scenarios, then uses the average and standard deviation statistic analysis to conclude the final evaluation results. The simulation studies validate the accuracy of network trustworthiness evaluation. The random sampling input method makes the evaluation results further adapt the dynamic topology property of UWSNs.
