Ranging is one of the most important basic functions of radar, and the essence of range measurement is to measure the signal time delay between radar and target, so the accuracy of time delay measurement will directly determine the quality of target ranging. The time delay estimation method based on cross correlation is an important time delay estimation algorithm, especially plays an important role in multi-target ranging. This paper first introduces the research background, and then presents the method based on cross-correlation time delay estimation principle and signal model, at the same time, the basic principle of matched filter is studied, and the matched filter is introduced into the multi-objective range, which improves the performance of ranging, finally through the simulation analysis, illustrates the feasibility of multiobject ranging method based on cross-correlation.
