In order to reduce the harmonic pollution and further improving the system efficiency, a single-stage LLC resonant converter with bridgeless APFC (Active Power Factor Correction) is proposed. The switching devices of APFC and LLC are shared, and the two stages are combined into a single- stage structure. The APFC inductor works in DCM (Discontinuous Conduction Mode) to automatically realize power factor correction. Due to the soft-switching characteristics of LLC, the power consumption of shared switching devices is reduced. A hysteresis protection circuit is added between APFC inductor and LLC resonant circuit to avoid the overvoltage damage of secondary circuit. Finally, a 200W experimental prototype is built to verify the feasibility of the topology structure. The experimental results show that the power factor is high to 0.995 and the efficiency of the system reaches 93.7%.
