At present, the application of a parallel DC power supply system in a high-voltage substation is still in its infancy. There is no specific design technical specification for its reliability under short-circuit fault, calculation and configuration scheme of relevant circuits, which is not conducive to the design of substation. This paper compares and analyzes the power supply modules and the design techniques for overload continuous current and supercapacitor short-circuit compensation auxiliary circuits of substation present parallel DC power supply system, and selects the superior 4A power supply module and supercapacitor to design and research the auxiliary circuit of parallel DC power supply sys-tem. Based on the examples of substation projects, the equivalent model of the power supply system and the calcula-tion method of supercapacitor parameters are proposed, the protection discrimination of the DC circuit breaker is cal-culated and verified, and the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed method are demonstrated.
