The emerging electric battery industry propels the world’s clean energy efforts, especially in the renewable energy and electrified transportation sectors. Technical innovation of electricity storage batteries focuses on four major routes, that is, LFP, ternary battery, hydrogen fuel cell and new system batteries. This manuscript analyses the prospects of these four technical routes, and applies scenario planning to forecast their market as described in the pessimistic and optimistic scenarios in near future to 2030, based on International Energy Agency (IEA) data.
