The hydropower unit vibration seriously harms the safety and stability of the power station, shortens its life cycle, causes a lot of energy loss, and reduces economic benefit. Therefore, based on the 1# unit of a hydropower station, the dynamic experiment of static - starting up and grid connection - load increase - full load - load decrease - shutdown was carried out, and the vibration characteristics were analyzed, based on these, the vibration reduction strategies for the hydropower unit are given. The results show that the vibration factors are different in different transient processes, and the guide vane opening is the most important factor.
