Regional multiple energy system plays an important role in improving system reliability and energy efficiency, due to its safe, clean, and sustainable characteristics. The performance of regional multiple energy system relys on its configuration and various facts should be considered during the configuration optimization. As the pressure of climate changes, the low-carbon operation is one of the critical goals, which should be included in the configuration optimization process. In this paper, the optimal configuration of regional multiple energy system considering the lowcarbon operation has been investigated. A simulation and planning implementation framework for multiple energy system is established. The framework consists of topological modeling, measuring system, and simulation. The carbon emission cost model has been developed based on the system carbon flow model and carbon trading mechanism. The optimal configuration platform is built for regional multiple energy system. The proposed framework is implemented on the CloudPSS platform and tested with the IEEE-33 bus system. The test results show that the voltage quality and energy efficiency have been improved by system optimal configuration which can guide the construction of regional multiple energy system.
