The evaluation of relay protection operation plays an important role in improving the level of perception of relay protection operation status. This article addresses the problems existing in the existing subjective and objective weighting methods for relay protection, that is, the subjective weighting methods cannot avoid the subjective arbitrariness of experts and the objective weighting methods cannot assess the actual importance of the project’s importance. Based on the existing subjective and objective weighting results, this method considers the statistical distribution law of the sample evaluation result sequence, and proposes a method to determine the combination weight based on the goodness of the sample evaluation result sequence to the normal distribution. The comprehensive evaluation index weight of relay protection provides support for the setting of the comprehensive evaluation index weight of relay protection.
