In order to further study the distribution of power frequency electric field in high voltage substation, taking 220kV substation as an example, based on the simplification principle of simulation modeling of high voltage electrical equipment, the simulation calculation of power frequency electric field in the station is carried out, and the distribution of power frequency electric field is studied and analyzed. The results show that the power frequency electric field intensity of 220kV substation 1.5 meters above the ground is mainly concentrated in 2-6kV/m, and the maximum electric field intensity reaches 10kV/m. The power frequency electric field has local large value near the high voltage equipment with lead down line and at the junction of overhead wire and bus outside the switch field. Finally, the simulation results are compared with the measured results, and the average error is 0.49kV/m, which meets the requirements of engineering error. It shows that the model can be used for the simulation of power frequency electric field in the substation.
