The detection model and technical scheme of noninvasive cardiac output measurement using spot-electrodes is proposed, the adaptability of the two-compartment coaxial cylindrical model is analyzed, and the corresponding detection system is developed in this paper. A comparative experiment with the thoracic impedance method and the dye dilution method is carried out and the results are investigated. The experimental results show that there is good linear correlation between the improved thoracic impedance method in this paper and the dye dilution method, and the detection model is appropriate. Moreover, the evaluation of Bland-Altman graph also proves the consistency of the two detection methods. The results show that nearly ninety percent of the experimental values detected by the two methods are distributed within the 95% confidence interval, and indicate that the detection accuracy of the method is approximately the same as that of the dye dilution method. In addition, the system developed in this study has good stability, good convenience, and higher adaptability for the cardiac output measurement of human body.
