Information security is the core of inter-substation security of smart substations. Access to various equipment brings unprecedented risks to the network information security in substations. This paper took countermeasures for the special security demand of data fusion of smart substations, and put forward the security strategy of "security zoning, boundary isolation, wireless protection, standard access, authority classification, and comprehensive protection." An information security zoning scheme was formulated by sorting out the data services of smart substations. Targeted isolation measures were adopted for the information security zone boundaries of multi-station fusion substations based on security zoning. A universal security access zone design scheme based on dual-isolation was proposed for the isolation of internal and external networks. The corresponding information protection strategies were proposed for the wireless sensor networks due to their particularity. A series of solutions for the information security problems caused by information fusion of smart substations were explored based on the above research.
