In order to solve the problems of low automation and inconvenient data recording of traditional water quality hardness detection, this paper proposes a water quality hardness determination method based on image technology. Based on EDTA complexometric titration reaction, an on-line water quality hardness monitoring system mainly controlled by GD32F307 microprocessor is designed and developed, which can realize the automatic on-line monitoring of water quality hardness. The detection range is 0 ~ 10mg / L (CaCO3), and the relative error is ≤± 5%, Relative standard deviation ≤ 2%; The detection system has RS-485 communication function and can upload data to the upper computer. The self-developed software on the upper computer has the functions of storage, management, generating measurement curve, generating test report according to the established standard and so on. The system has been put into practical use in a factory. The use for a period of time proves that the system achieves the expected design goal and provides new technical support for water hardness testing.
