As the important station in power transmission, the safe reliability of transmission tower is directly related to the safety and economical operation of the whole power system. The unsteadiness of transmission tower is caused by permanent load, wind load and ice load, and they are the important factors for the damage of the power transmission. By establishing a finite element model, its global stability of transmission tower was analysed, and the reliability index and failure probability under different working conditions were obtained. The results can be used as the safe reliability criterion of the power transmission.
