Inhalt:
In this paper, an architecture of multi-port partial power converter (PPC) is proposed to combine MPPT and SOC of the battery for solar PV application. Due to the bidirectional current controllability of the PPC,the proposed concept can be extend to multi PV strings as well as distributed storage with multiple battery interfaces. In this paper, the basics of the partial power processing (PPP) concept in MPPT operation of the PV pannel and SoC for a Li-battery are discussed. The partial power flow is visualized by means of volt-ampere (VA) area model. Furthermore, the details of proposed PPC architecture and operation principle of the proposed PPC are explained. Finally, the proposed concept is realized and verified by the experimental results with 1.6kW prototype. The efficiency measurements are included.
