Inhalt:
The current through the DC-link capacitor is estimated based on the measured DC-link voltage. The method uses σ-δ modulation and refers to two parameters of the DC-link capacitor. Analog pre-emphasis and digital de-emphasis improves the resolution of the measured voltage signal. In this way, the DC-link capacitor rms current can be estimated also for complex multi-inverter systems with DC-link circuits in parallel connection, with braking choppers, etc. A current transducer is not required.
