Inhalt:
This paper proposed an IoT approach for distributed and comprehensive temperature measurements within modular multilevel converters for component qualification. The measurement units are based on Arduino microcontrollers being WiFi-connected to a MQTT broker, where the measurements can be subscribed from for visualization, recording and analysis. Measurement system requirements were discussed for the application in a dedicated Power Converter Test Center and the system architecture was presented in terms of IT-infrastructure, a modular hardware approach and an object-oriented software approach both being prepared to connect additional sensor types. Measurement results presented an excerpt from the experience with approx. 100 sensor units in operation.
