Inhalt:
Battery inverter systems are a useful supplement to support the grid or to build up an island grid and thus ensure the electrical energy supply. Due to factors like system integration as well as transport or installation restrictions etc., a high power-to-weight ratio of the inverter is essential.Magnetic devices usually are one of the heaviest components in power electronics applications. A reduction of their weight leads to a significant reduction of the battery inverter’s total weight. This paper presents an improved design of magnetic devices for a battery inverter system which leads to a significant weight reduction.
