This work proposes an improved method to compute switching oft energy lasses of SiC MOSFETs in ZVS conditions. Switching power lasses estimated in this way are lower and more precise than traditional methods, and consequently, a more realistic total power loss analysis is carried out. The determined switching energies are employed in the calculation of the power lasses of a series resonant inverter designed for industrial induction heating applications assuming ZVS operation.
