The activity presented in this abstract focuses on dual-side cooling (DSC) power modules based on silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs, which are specifically developed for traction in electric vehicles. The connection between the power module (PM) and the DC-link and engine are elements that should be taken into account during the design phase, given the high current that a power module must handle. The proposed methodology, based on the finite element model (FEM) in Ansys electronic simulation environment, implements a coupling between the electromagnetic model (EM) and conjugate heat transfer (CHT) analysis at a certain current level, according to a specific mission profile (MP).
