This paper presents the development and testing of an adaptive Micro Aerial Vehicle (MAV) platform for autonomous inspection of high voltage power poles. The primary objective of this study is to establish an efficient approach for au-tonomous flight by leveraging computer vision techniques. The proposed architecture incorporates a combination of blackboard and microservices architectures, which enables real-time on-board decision-making and provides a modular testing and development environment. Our research findings demonstrate that the autonomous MAV-based inspection approach offers significant improvements in efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness when compared to traditional in-spection methods.
