Inhalt:
A solid-state transformer (SST) is designed to step down 10 kVac medium-voltage (MV) to 270 Vdc for data center application. To reduce the number of cascaded cells in the SST, three-level topologies combined with 1700 V SiC devices are used in the cells. The cell is composed of the front-end stage threelevel Boost PFC (TLB-PFC) AC/DC converter and the back-end stage three-level LLC (TL-LLC) isolated DC/DC converter. The design of the cell is introduced. The prototype of the 50 kW SST cell is built and tested by the experiment.
