With the advancement of cloud computing and artificial intelligence, the demand for high power density server power supplies is steadily increasing. A low-loss coil design for flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) planar transformers has been proposed. This transformer structure effectively simplifies manufacturing processes compared with PCB planar transformers. However, the potential for reducing losses in circuits designed using the electrical parameters of such transformers remains unverified. In this paper, we propose a topology of LLC resonant converter with 12V bus architecture utilizing FPCB transformer. Through parameter design, simulation, device selection, and loss analysis, we demonstrate its potential to enhance power density in data center power supplies.
