Precise, fast and easy method for iron losses calculation in non-slotted, small electric motors with air gap winding

This paper proposes a precise and fast iron loss calculation model for non-slotted small electric motors with air gap winding. From the design of the measurement device, measurement taking and parameter evaluation, towards the overall model use, this paper reviews the complete process and results. In addition to the proposed process, and having as an objective obtaining the most accurate calculation results, some modifications to the Bertotti loss equation are also considered.
