11 kW High-efficiency bidirectional CLLC converter with 1200 V SiC MOSFET

This paper presents an 11 kW high-efficiency bidi-rectional CLLC resonant converter, which can be used in bidirectional power conversion applica-tions, such as EV chargers, on-board chargers (OBC) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) applications. The CLLC resonant topology can implement the zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of the power devices to reduce switching losses. This converter also uses 1200 V SiC MOSFET IMZ120R030M1H from Infineon to reduce losses and improve converter performance. In addition, by using digital control algorithms, the prototype can control bidirectional power conversions. Finally, the simulation and ex-perimental results show the high efficiency and re-liability of this design method.
