Electric Vehicles, zero pollution, become an important impetus for saving energy and reducing emission. It is a serious challenge that the power electronic devices will be used for car gauge level application based safe and reliable in all life cycle. Heat oscillation resistance is the most important factor for power electronic devices packaging. Silicon nitride is confirmed to satisfy the demand of the thermal shock from running vehicles. On the other hand, silicon nitride, with thermal conductivity 80W/mK, is a better choice to clamped copper foils ceramic substrates. The present paper review the application prospect to silicon nitride substrate used in electric vehicles, compare the performances of the three kinds of clamped copper foils ceramic substrates. It is the best that use clamped copper foils silicon nitride substrate for electric vehicles.
