With the rapid rise of virtual reality technology, smart tourism has become the wind vane of the development of today's tourism industry. With the support of virtual reality technology, the author elaborates the design idea of the smart tourism system platform in detail. Under the original intention of the platform design, the overall architecture of the smart tourism information platform is built, and the three-tier framework of the system is analyzed. The sub functional modules of the smart tourism platform are introduced in detail, and the key technologies are analyzed. After multi-party testing, the platform can present users with an immersive experience of scenic spots. Not only that, the platform can also plan travel routes based on different travel service indicators which provided by users and combined with user needs to bring users a better smart travel platform experience.
