This paper present a high heat dissipation efficiency IGBT module with low power loss for inverter of electric vehicle. The power loss of IGBT was precisely calculated to figure out that Loss is the main cause of temperature rise, and switching loss is an important part of the total power loss. Especially the improved heat dissipation package and low loss IGBT module introduced in this paper act an important role in reducing the temperature rise of the inverter. In addition, the solder greatly improves the life of the module. The IGBT module also show excellent performance, which helps to improve the efficiency of the inverter system during the actual driving cycle.
